What Wormhole stores
Wormhole has no advertising trackers and does not sell your data. Anything described as local stays in this browser.
Essential storage
Wormhole uses the following storage only when a feature needs it:
- Twitch OAuth state in browser storage or a short-lived SameSite cookie fallback, plus the temporary Twitch access token used during the current browser session.
- Your storage choice so Wormhole remembers whether optional history is allowed.
- Your explicitly selected light/dark theme, high-contrast preference, text size, relaxed spacing, reduced-motion choice, underlined-link choice, simplified-result preference, and manual device-layout override.
- One filter preset only when you explicitly select Save current filters.
- Lost Signal game progress only when you explicitly use the game's Save command. It is stored under a separate key and never contains Twitch information.
Optional local history
If you choose Allow local history, Wormhole keeps viewer-count samples for up to 30 days, channel and category snapshots, up to five past-stream references, and the latest 150 privacy-sanitized diagnostic events. Wormhole uses this history for viewer averages, channel activity, offline matching, and troubleshooting.
Third-party services
Signing in or searching sends requests directly to Twitch. After login, Wormhole also sends your public Twitch channel name through a same-origin Cloudflare Pages Function to TwitchTracker to request its 30-day channel summary. Your Twitch access token is never sent to TwitchTracker. The Twitch player loads only when you open a preview or Twitch confirms a raid. The completed-raid screen also loads Twitch chat. Wormhole does not post a raid-completed chat message. Google Fonts supplies the interface fonts. Ko-fi and creator links open only when you select them.
Your controls
Open Privacy settings in the footer to change your choice or delete stored viewer, channel, past-stream, and diagnostic history. You can also clear diagnostics separately from the footer. Lost Signal creates progress only when you use its Save command. Saving again replaces it, and your browser's site-data controls can remove it.
